Gratias Multas!

Today is my 100th post in just under 3 months.

When I put it like that, it sounds pretty intense. Did I really have that much to say (or rather, did I really think I had that much to say)? I'll spare you the introspection and get to the point of this post: In honor of sticking to this for the first quarter of 2009 and to mark the 100-post milestone, I thought I'd host a little giveaway. And no, be assured that this isn't my April Fool's Day joke on the world. Besides, this makes a pretty lame joke.

So this is how it's going to work --

To participate, you'll need to leave me a comment below letting me know what sorts of things you'd like to read about here at Odi et Amo during the course of the next 100 posts (or, in the alternative, what sorts of topics you're completely tired of hearing me babble on about). On Wednesday, April 8th, I'll randomly select two readers to win a free one-year subscription of her choice to one of the following design magazines:

Elle Decor

House Beautiful

Metropolitan Home

And finally, the winners will also be able to select a digital subscription to Canadian House & Home, the next-best-thing to domino available on either side of the border:

Just think of it as my little "thank you" to everyone who stops by here on a regular basis and who has supported my blogging efforts. Prizes are open to U.S. and Canadian residents only (provided that Canadian residents are only eligible to receive a print or digital subscription to Canadian House & Home).

Congrats Averill!!! Wow, I can't believe it's been 100 posts already! Obviously all of your decor-related posts are my fave - you have a great eye for design and I love hearing what you have to say about it all! Keep'em coming! P.S. Apparently I really like exclamation points!!! :)

I would love to see a feature where readers can send it pics of rooms that they want to redecorate and you could give them tips. I would volunteer my back bedroom as the first room :)

I'd like to see posts on taking a high-end room and making it affordable for 20 - 30 somethings. I'm killing myself to furnish our place, and my husband has started threatening me.

100 posts! Way to go! I always find your posts so well writen and well thought out. I just sort fo throw words on the screen. However, I love the before and after posts. I loved the chairs you re-covered. Adorable!

Jamie-I'm put on "notice" all the time. You're not alone.

Great work Averill! :)

Congratulations on your 100th post! Though I don't usually comment, I stop by here often to take in the beautiful pictures and take note of the delectable recipes. So that's my suggestion - I'd love more recipes! I also second (or third) the suggestion to send in pics of rooms for redecorating and ways to affordably do such makeovers.

Yay! Congratulations Averill!!! Very awesome. My request if to continue the posts on stationery and paper stuff. I love that stuff, and while your other posts are wonderful too (your eye for decor is magnifique) I feel like the paper/stationery finds are not as common on these types of blogs. XO, P

Hi Averill!

I love your blog and check it daily. I live in Sugar Land, so I love that you are in Houston. I think your blog is great as it is, but would love to see ways to transform a room with a few quick and not too expensive punches. I would like to add some WOW factor to some rooms, but not sure what key pieces to use.

I just found your blog, and love love love it! Can't believe you've posted so much in such a short time. My favorite posts are the recipes, decor inspiration rooms and the DIY posts (fixing your hardwood floors, removing bathroom mirrors, etc.) And I live in Clear Lake and work in Midtown, so I especially love the Houston references. Congrats on your 100th post!
