La la la Lucite

I'm thinking about getting this chaise for my home office (in a lilac fabric though, not the black). Not only does it have killer Lucite legs but it's also got a nice, curvy back which perfectly suits the super glam, Hollywood Regency look that I'm going for in there. Even better, I can get it (tax and shipping included) for under $1000. A very good price considering how expensive Lucite/acrylic pieces often are.

Anyone have any experience with this particular manufacturer (Light Energy Studio)? I'd love to get some feedback on quality as I hate purchasing furniture sight unseen.

Dang girl, that's a steal! You're right, lucite pieces are always breaking the bank and this one is a total beauty for a great price. I wish I had some insight to offer re: the company, but I hope you wind up getting it and giving us a review. :)

Okay, I just went to their website and I'm a bit freaked out. Hopefully someone else has had an experience with them?

Looks like a beautiful piece! I haven't heard of the company before either...buying from a place no one has ever heard of always makes me nervous too.

I know what you mean about making a large item purchase with no knowledge of the company or the quality of the products. I have made 2 large item purchases from online sources this past year - rugs and a television. Big, big, big problems with the television delivery and only an annoying problem with the rug deliveries. Not exactly batting 1000. Might be worth a call to the 800 number just to see who answers the phone and how well they answer your questions. Might also inquire who their freight delivery vendor is too. In my (very limited) experience, Fedex ground far surpasses YRC in product handling.

It is gorgeous, I can see why you're oh so tempted!

I can't believe it's under $1,000. When I saw the picture my first thought was, "I don't even want to see the price tag!" It will look gorgeous in lilac.

Averill, the actual manufacturer is Muniz which is based in Miami. So, if you don't feel comfortable with this vendor I am sure you can google and find one you are more comfortable with. Looks fun to me!

LOL. Did you click on the "Home" page of that website? Scary! Looks like they provide a lot of decor for strip joints, lol. I'd be a little scared about the quality, but then again, you could always recover/pad the cushion part of the chaise after you receive it...

I've never heard of them before - but from the second I saw your image in my reader this morning I've been dreaming of that chaise! I love it and hope you get it - and it's perfect for your home office! That's the dark purple room with the gorgeous Venetian mirror, right?

Yes! Forgive me, but that is quite possibly the sexiest chaise lounge I have seen to date! I think it is a must–have and probably even prettier in lavender. It would work better with the lucite feet. Great find :)

Averill this is such an interesting piece. I think poindexter had some great advice. Find out what the return policy is, make sure there is no restocking fee in writing!!! With free shipping what do you have to lose if they will do returns? Let us know , it is a great piece, so unique,Kathysue
