Housekeeping.
I apologize from the outset on the randomness of this post, but I've been distracted by work and planning a bachelorette party the last few weeks and have been remiss in making a few "thank you's". First off, thanks to everyone for the overwhelming response to the credenza re-do. It's so gratifying to hear such a positive response after putting in so much of my spare time and effort into spiffing it up. [Update: I've gotten a lot of questions about the wallpaper in this entryway, so I decided to go straight to the source and e-mail Steponkus Designs directly. Both Sally and Sally's design associate Heather replied and let me know that it's the Moroccan grasscloth from Phillip Jeffries' Voyage Collection. I don't know about you, but it's a new favorite for me.]
I'd also like to say thank you to Jessica Nell Graves (graphic designer and blogger behind The Love List) for including me in her newest project: The Love List Library, which is a wonderful compilation of a top-notch group of design bloggers' favorite books, movies and music. This is a great resource if you're looking for gifts for the stylish women in your life -- or even just a little new inspiration for yourself. You can check out my own personal "love list" HERE.
Another thank you goes out to Sarah over at Pewter + Sage for giving me the "Sunshine Award". In the spirit of paying it forward, I'd like to pass this award on to 5 "new to me" blogs that I've recently gotten hooked on:
And last, but certainly not least, back in September I did a guest post over at A 'Lil Welsh Rarebit on turning Christy's office into a guest room. Well, a few weeks ago Christy has actually turned one of my mood boards into reality (with a few much needed tweaks to work for "real life") and it looks absolutely fantastic. Please be sure to check out the full reveal HERE.
I'll be back tomorrow with an update on my family room. With the Imperial Trellis pillows finished and coffee and side tables in place, it's come a long way since last fall.

Thanks Averill! I second the sentiment - Odi et Amo is certainly at the top of my list of new favorites!
I can not wait to see your pillows, I would take anything made out of that fabric. Also, do you know the source of the wallpaper in the Sally Steponkus image? It is exactly what I am looking for, actually just spent an hour looking for something like it at various sources. I looked on her website but didn't see anything.
Glad you have gotten such a fabulous response to your credenza, it just shines! Janell
Christy's room turned out great. I'm sure it was fun to see the mood board translated into real life! I'm looking forward to seeing your family room updates too.
Ooh I love your LOVE list! And congrats on the award!
And I'm soooo happy with the results of our room makeover, thanks to you! I would have never found that duvet set or the lamps on my own. And I likely would never have come up with the furniture arrangement either! I assumed I'd have to go with a twin bed/trundle in such a small room. But my parents have already stayed in it, and they love it! MUCHAS GRACIAS!
I just checked out your guest post....how exciting that she is putting it to use....you had so much good info in both options. And, now to check out a couple of new (to me) blogs!
Averill, thank you so much for including me in your list of blogs that you have become addicted to. Wow!! I am so honored to be included in your list. Your blog is also an addiction of mine. I always love coming here to see what you have to say. I love your fresh take on design. I am just totally taken aback with such a compliment. You are making my day and making me smile!!! Thank you Miss Averill. Kathysue
Averill you are a doll! Odi et Amo is at the top of my list of must-reads as are a few of the other new blogs you mention. I am totally honored that you read my blog (you know I love your blog and your writing!) and especially thrilled that you've included me in your list of new must-reads with these other fabulous women! What a happy surprise! Thank you!! Marija
Wait, I also have to mention how much I love that wallpaper - I thought I was beginning to tire of all things trellis but I was so totally wrong! Adorable! Marija
Averill,
Geez! I just got home, and jumped on the computer. This is a super sweet little surprise on a cold rainy day.
You must be one heck of a lawyer, because the fact that you can whip out one amazing post after another, always leaves me in awe. Thank you so much for always stopping by and bringing me so much daily joy everytime I pop over here!!!
XO,
~Rebecca
Thanks so much for the award; your blog is sunshine to me, as well :) Feel very honored to be included on your list, and can't wait to check out the others.
BTW, I love that first photo and clipped the same one this morning! That mirror on that wallpaper is unbelievable.
Christy's room is beautiful! Can't wait to see your new pillows either.

cristin
I ADORE that wallpaper. I was thinking something similar in a powder room. Thanks for tracking down the source.
How fun to have your inspiration board turned into a real life room!
Thanks again for tracking down the source of the wallpaper, I mentioned it, you and your blog today in my post. If you ever decide to use this paper perhaps we could split the minimum order if we could agree on a color!
