What little girl didn't feel like a princess when dressed in velvet? I had several black velvet (and lace) dresses - pink velvet, red velvet and green velvet dresses when I was a little girl. I dressed my own two girls in velvet very often too. I suggest velvet all the time - especially to my female clients. I think that we all have "love of velvet" deep within our souls!Linda Leyblehttp://www.studioofdecorativearts.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6871878718824331017.post-30618089066318447012011-03-24T08:07:59.806-05:002011-03-24T08:07:59.806-05:00I walked into West Elm a few days ago and took a l...I walked into West Elm a few days ago and took a look at their stodgy Henry sofa. It was unrecognizable in a pearly grey velvet. So, I'd say velvet can work wonders.Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14452627115206030781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6871878718824331017.post-70662154252546545672011-03-23T19:24:11.015-05:002011-03-23T19:24:11.015-05:00I have been contemplating a rich brown velvet for ...I have been contemplating a rich brown velvet for our living room (on chairs). Love it...but of course the type of velvet plays into the look and the price. I am in love with the feel of silk velvet but of course that often makes it a budget buster. My parents' first ever purchase together was an extra long camel-colored velvet couch, which they still have. Over time it's been moved to lesser-used rooms, but it's still my favorite spot to read.Laura@JourneyChichttp://journeychic.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6871878718824331017.post-20093460953620212512011-03-23T09:30:14.892-05:002011-03-23T09:30:14.892-05:00Love'em! When we were buying sofas for our house I wanted one, but for some reason my mom talked me out of it - I think she said it would be too hot in the summer. Huh?
