Danke Schoen!

I've debated with myself all day on whether or not to post on this, but ultimately I decided it would be remiss of me not to thank the Washington Post publicly for including me today in its weekly "Blog Watch" feature (see HERE). Thanks to Ms. Terri Sapienza, my blog traffic has gone through the roof and I feel a bit like dancing in the street (hold the tracht). Sometimes blogging can feel like talking to yourself in outer space -- does anyone hear you or are you just shouting into the darkness? Today feels like confirmation that folks are indeed listening, and for that I am both humbled and grateful. For my own part, I promise to do my best to hold your attention and keep on saying (or writing) things worth hearing (or reading). So danke schoen, Ms. Sapienza and the rest of the folks at WP ! I am truly honored.

Averill - I'm so glad you posted on this. And aren't you so happy you did your blog makeover when you did? Not that the old blog was shabby - far from it, of course - you've always been fabulous. But this new look is even MORE fabulous and all your new groupies will undoubtedly love it like we do. I'm so glad I can say, I knew you when...well not really 'knew knew' but you know what I mean. Love that image you chose to accompany this with too. And seriously, you should do some freelance work or mood board work online or something. Who knows - you could be the next big thing!

BRAVO!!!

OMG Averill, many congratulations to you. Of course any blogger would be "over the moon". I know exactly what you mean when it comes to self doubt regarding if anyone is out there reading? They are & your blog is always terrific. I think you should be toating with a German Beer this evening!!

Warmest congratulations from your DC fan club-I mailed you out copies this afternoon. Now will you believe me that the two of us should have become interior designers and not attorneys? ;)

Beth: Thanks so much for the mailing -- I can't wait to see it in the flesh (somehow "print" still feels more important the digital, no?). And yes, I think we should form a bicoastal (I am on the third coast, after all) design team. Now we just need to think of a good name -- maybe some oblique reference to our legal backgrounds?
